PRIVACY POLICY

Effective October 9, 2026. Applies to the Chive Arcade Uploader.

WHAT THIS TOOL IS

The Chive Arcade Uploader is an internal publishing tool operated by Chive Arcade. It uploads videos to YouTube channels owned and operated by Chive Arcade (including Chive Arcade, Meta Dad, and Teacher Games channels) through the YouTube Data API. It is not offered to the public and has no public users.

DATA WE ACCESS

Through Google OAuth, the uploader requests the youtube.upload scope. With that permission it can:

• Upload video files to the authorized YouTube channels, with titles, descriptions, and privacy settings chosen by the channel owner.
• Read basic channel information needed to complete an upload (such as the channel ID).

It does not read video analytics, comments, subscriber lists, or any other YouTube data. It does not access Gmail, Google Drive, or any other Google service.

HOW DATA IS USED AND STORED

• OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored locally on the operator's own machine and are used only to authenticate upload requests to Google's APIs.
• Video files, titles, and descriptions are transmitted to YouTube solely to publish them on the operator's own channels.
• No data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties. No analytics, advertising, or tracking tools are embedded in the uploader.

DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

Tokens remain stored locally until the operator revokes access. Access can be revoked at any time from the Google account permissions page, which immediately invalidates the stored tokens. Published videos are managed through YouTube Studio under the normal YouTube Terms of Service.

CHILDREN

The uploader is an internal tool with no public users and is not directed at children. No personal information is collected from anyone other than the channel operator.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
